SALUTATIONS FROM THE MODERATOR:

​

As this August Body celebrates 140 years of Service and Praise, we pause to reflect upon the journey and the legacy.  Begun in the hearts of former slaves and initiated through the anointing and guidance of the Holy Spirit, Sardis District Association and its auxiliaries have weathered the fiery darts of the enemy and have grown stronger, bolder, and obtained spiritual stamina in the process.

For 140 years Sardis District Association and its auxiliaries have served as a catalyst for social issues, educational challenges, and economic opportunities unique to African-Americans.  I believe that this association has been called and established by God to work for the greater good of Panola County.

​

The work of Sardis District is integral to educating, equipping , and empowering the local church in sharing the good news of the gospel and the application of scripture in daily living.  It is essential that we work together to become more effective and efficient in our endeavor to do ministry and missions to the glory of God and for the good of His people.

​

Our churches have been called by God to work together for the greater good of our communities, to unite and mobilize and be the light on a hill that lifts up Jesus that He may draw all men unto Him.
